teen-trendsTeen Trends were a line of fashion dolls manufactured and released by Mattel in 2005.

Teen Trends were 17 inches tall, making them taller than most fashion dolls around this time.

The line included 4 characters named Gabby, Deondra, Courtney, and Kianna. Each character had their own fashion style and personality traits.

The dolls came with closets, which was made to store the dolls’ clothes and accessories, The dolls also came with clothing decals and hair accessories. Fashion packs, closet accessories, and pets were also released.

There was some controversy when MGA Entertainment released a Bratz doll named “Kiana” who was apart of the “Wild Wild West” line. Mattel held a trademark on the name “Kianna” and MGA Entertainment stopped producing Kiana as a result.

The second wave dolls were released in late 2005.

A third wave was intended to be released in 2006, along with a “Create-A-Spa” playset and a new character named Rayna (who hailed from Japan). For unknown reasons, they were never released. However, they did appear at the 2006 Toy Fair in New York.

The dolls were never that popular and they have most likely been discontinued.
